Students with print disabilities can use many free sources to obtain text on the web. ReadPrint is one of those free tools. As mentioned earlier, students can pair text online with text-to-speech tools and choose any of the books to read from sources like:

Project Gutenberg

Teachers can also use these free text databases to create reading probes for reading fluency progress monitoring. These reading probes are quick and easy to create using the Okapi Tool from Intervention Central.

To see how easy it is to create this probe, you can view or listen to this 3 minute video, created with Jing software, on using Readprint and Okapi to make a reading probe. (please be patient it takes a minute to load.)
